A popular turnout this morning from the Gympie & District Field Naturalists who were keen to see and hear about the development and future of our local trails and the remnant (and recovering) bushland that supports them. A very knowledgeable group on all things flora and fauna and great to have their support for what we are doing to preserve this area for nature-based recreation.
Many thanks for taking the time to visit our facility.
A timely reminder as the school holidays and now Christmas bring
increased usage of the Victory Heights Recreational facility that
all trail users are required to observe the recognized international
standards for Trail Etiquette. This requires that all other users
must give way to horses and their riders for obvious safety reasons.
Cyclists must also give way to people on foot such as walkers, runners
and others enjoying the natural environment.
Please observe the appropriate signage on trails which is designed to
separate the various forms of usage for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
Thinking of getting fit this summer?
At a shade under 5km the new bike/hike/running Trail 7 is finally complete and open.
Thanks to Trailworx, Qld Government Get Playing Grants Program and Cooloola Trail Care Alliance.
Walk it Run it Ride it. Happy Trails!

The new trail which provides a return link from the bottom of the Flow Trail is a valuable addition to the recreational facility and the CTCA wishes to thank CCC for their contribution and support.
